Quezon City is a recipient of viral RNA extraction machine and a RT-PCR machine donated by Singapore.
Mayor Joy Belmonte, along with city administrator Michael Alimurung and COVID-Task Force head Joseph Belmonte, accepted the donation from Temasek Foundation and MiRXES Pte. Ltd. represented by their local partner, Armand Arreza from Synergy Sourcing and Development Group.
Temasek Foundation’s latest donation came after past donations of oxygen concentrators and masks which benefitted the Quezon City community.
To further support the City’s COVID-19 containment effort, especially in the area of frontline testing of medical and economic frontliners, Temasek Foundation, MiRXES and Synergy made available diagnostic equipment, RT-PCR test kits and other peripherals will benefit workers in Quezon City, as well as in other local government units and agencies.
Belmonte thanked Temasek Foundation, MiRXES and Synergy for their generous support and cited that the new gesture would further strengthen the city’s strong ties with Singapore.
