R.O.X.’s “17 Years Outside” Celebration at R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street
Outdoor legends, adventure seekers, and R.O.X.plorers gathered for a night of nostalgic celebration with R.O.X.’s “17 Years Outside” anniversary last November 16 at the R.O.X. Bonifacio High Street.
The festivities started strong with a Human Bingo activity that got the whole room buzzing with excitement, with premium gear from Columbia Sportswear as the prize at stake. Ultimately, one of the R.O.X.plorers scored a blackout and won the prize.
Dandin de Vera also made his first introduction as the new AVP for R.O.X., welcoming the guests to the celebrations ahead while also sharing some short insights and optimism for the future of R.O.X. as well.
Not long after, Brand Manager, Maan Oriondo took to the stage to reminisce about the memories R.O.X. has made over the past 17 years and converse with key people of the R.O.X. community in attendance like Co-Founder of UP Mountaineering, Buboy Francisco, and President of ABS-CBN Creative Programs Inc., Ernie Lopez.
They recounted the early years of R.O.X. in the Philippines, pioneering the title as “The Biggest Outdoor Superstore in Southeast Asia”, even before they started expanding to countries Malaysia and Thailand.
Spotted also at the event were R.O.X. memorabilia kept over the years, like Mr. Romi Garduce’s gear when he climbed Mount Everest was also highlighted, being the first, and to-date, only Filipino to reach all Seven Summits. Also displayed in the exhibit was the certificate he received after climbing Everest and the Philippine flag he took with him. Romi Garduce of course was present at the event and shared his years with R.O.X. and his hope for its future.
And from the past, R.O.X. looks to the future with their introduction of the newest batch of R.O.X.plorers and the R.O.X. athlete pioneers, Majo Liao, Kyle Antolin, Cristelle Corpuz, Nick Aguilos, and of course spearheaded by influencer and R.O.X. Coach, Ige Lopez. The community shared their wishes for R.O.X. and also highlighted their vision of what they can bring to R.O.X.’s table.
And in a true celebration of its 17th year, R.O.X. also surprised its 17th guest on the list with an Osprey pack—talk about giving back! It was a night filled with nostalgia and reigniting the memories of the past, while at the same time, a sense of stepping forward into the future of R.O.X.
Being the leader in the outdoor and adventure concept stores in the country for the last 17 years, R.O.X. continues to pioneer in being a one-stop-shop for all adventure needs, introducing the latest and newest outdoor gear into their roster of international brands.
