Calabarzon generally safe after TS ‘Rolly’

“‹Camp BGen Vicente P. Lim, Laguna—The Police Regional Office 4A reported Wednesday that persons or vehicles were no stranded in the entire Calabarzon region following the onslaught of Typhoon “Rolly.”

All roads are safe and passable except for the two roads in Batangas, as 336 infrastructures were minimally damaged including a quarantine facility in Quezon Police Provincial Office, PRO4A said.

Meanwhile, Police Regional Director PBGEN Vicente D. Danao Jr. joined Senator Christopher “Bong” Go in distributing financial aid and relief goods to the affected families of the recent fire in Brgy. Sineguelasan and Brgy. Alima in Bacoor City, Cavite, displacing 388 families with 1,641 individuals.

Team Calabarzon have rescued a total of 4,549 persons, as Search and Rescue personnel deployed 15 RSSF team composed of 127 RSSF personnel, while 1,066 SAR personnel are on standby. 

An additional 4,163 personnel were deployed in Law and Order, 115 personnel in evacuation centers, 57personnel in vacated areas, and 209 personnel patrolling in evacuated communities.

During distribution of relief goods, PRO4A has assisted and conducted 207 relief operations, it added.

Continuous monitoring and patrolling are being conducted especially in three remaining flooded areas in Brgy. Malaban Biñan, Laguna; Brgy. Subic Ilaya, Agoncillo, Batangas; and Brgy. Tikiwan, Calauag, Quezon.

After “Rolly” weakened, the troops conducted 99 search and rescue retrieval operations, two forced evacuations, and 147 road clearing operations.

Danao expressed his gratitude “to all the government agencies and private individuals and organizations who worked with the Philippine National Police and extended help during these trying times.”
