Instead of polluting the oceans, plastic trash was given a second life in this collection of anti-theft bags.
Australian brand Pacsafe, a leading innovator in anti-theft travel gear, has introduced its new Econyl collection consisting of six bags made of regenerated fabric transformed from fishing nets and other discarded nylon.
According to Pacsafe, this collection is the first of many steps it is taking to demonstrate its commitment to removing virgin plastic from all new products by 2025.
“Our partnership with Econyl means less plastic in our oceans and landfills, and fewer resources used to create new products. It’s all part of our wider commitment to reduce ocean plastic while helping people protect their gear and the planet at the same time,” said Magnus McGlashan, co-founder and managing director of Pacsafe.
The unique Econyl regeneration process creates durable, long lasting yarn that performs to the same standard as brand new nylon. Unlike other recycled materials, the nylon can be rewoven infinitely without losing its high-performance qualities, creating a circular loop of reuse.
The new collection highlights the bestselling Pacsafe styles, such as the award-winning Venturesafe EXP45 anti-theft carry-on travel pack and Metrosafe LS350 anti-theft backpack.
Also included in the Econyl collection are Vibe 25L anti-theft backpack, Vibe 325 anti-theft sling pack, Metrosafe LS100 anti-theft cross body, Daysafe anti-theft cross body, and Metrosafe LS200 anti-theft cross body.
The collection is now available at all Pacsafe branches and other retailers nationwide.
