An intensity 3 earthquake was felt in Bani, Pangasinan on Thursday morning when a magnitude 5.7 earthquake rocked the city of Tarlac.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was of tectonic origin and jolted Tarlac at 5:58 a.m. with a depth of 199 kilometers.
Intensity 3 was recorded in Bani, Pangasinan while Intensity 2 was felt in Santa Ignacia and Ramos, Tarlac; Dagupan city; Masinloc and Botolan, Zambales; Olongapo city; Bontoc, Mountain Province; and Vigan, Ilocos Sur.
Intensity 1 was recorded at Tarlac and Bamban, Tarlac; Guagua, Pampanga; Abucay and Dinalupihan, Bataan; Urdaneta, Pangasinan; Nampicuan, Nueva Ecija; Santol, La Union; Bustos, Bulacan; Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte; and Navotas.
Phivolcs said there was no reported damage to properties but aftershocks are expected.
