A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-4.0 struck Dalupiri Island in Calayan, Cagayan at 2:31 AM on Monday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its latest information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 19.24 degrees north 121.11 degrees east – 017 km north 35 degrees west of the island at a depth of 10 kms.

There were no reported intensities listed on Phivolcs’ earthquake bulletin.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity and damage is unlikely.
