Aboitiz Foods, a leading integrated food and agribusiness company in the Philippines, inaugurated a $45-million feed mill in Long An, Vietnam, the most advanced in the country.
The state-of-the-art facility represents the company’s largest venture, expanding its footprint in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
“This inauguration is a significant milestone for Aboitiz Foods and our Gold Coin Feed-Agribusiness Division and the entire Aboitiz Group. Vietnam is a key market for us, and this new facility reinforces our strong position in the country and marks a significant step in building our regional feed platform,” said Aboitiz Foods president and chief executive Tristan Aboitiz.
Spanning 3.8 hectares, the Gold Coin Long An Feed Mill boasts of cutting-edge Industry 4.0 technology and a modern laboratory, capable of producing 300,000 metric tons of livestock and animal nutrition feed annually.
“The new facility replaces the Dong Nai mill and complements our fully operational Binh Duong plant, bringing Aboitiz Foods’ total feed production capacity in Vietnam to a substantial 1.1 million metric tons. It plays a pivotal role in meeting the surging demand for high-quality animal nutrition in southern Vietnam,” Aboitiz said.
Strategically located near a long river route with a private port, the feed mill facilitates efficient trade of finished goods and raw materials, reducing customers’ time and costs.
The prime location enhances food supply and safety chains for central, southern and Mekong Delta provinces, supporting sustainable growth, and employment, and contributing to the economic development of Long An province.
“Through this feed mill, we will continue to lead in the agribusiness space, delivering top-quality products and solutions that contribute to the country’s progress and prosperity,” said company business chief executive Eric Nojac.
