The Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) hosted a joint celebration for Journalist’s Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival at the Federation Center Building in Binondo, Manila on Oct. 3, 2024.
FFCCCII president Cecilio K. Pedro expressed gratitude to the media for their enduring support and highlighted the importance of collaboration in promoting the welfare of the Filipino-Chinese community.
He urged Chinese media and writers to unite for justice, harmony and progress in the Filipino-Chinese community, promote prosperity and growth in the Philippines, strengthen the relationship between the Philippines and China and support the integration of Chinese and Filipino cultures.
Counselor Ji Lingpeng of the Chinese Embassy underscored the critical role of the Chinese media in fostering China-Philippines relations.
He asked media representatives to highlight the contributions of overseas Chinese to the Philippines and report positively on the ongoing cooperation between the two nations.
