Showbiz scion Jayda Avanzado is in a class of her own. She just recently turned 18 but she eloquently speaks like an old soul. She is smart, strong-minded, innovative, artistic, and most of all, she’s very open to any possibilities that the entertainment business has to offer.
In a recent virtual junket, where Jessa Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado’s princess was formally introduced as an official talent of Rise Artists Studio and Star Magic, Jayda told Manila Standard Entertainment that with the newest development in her career, she only wishes to have more blessings — more opportunity in all aspect of her career and personal life.
“With me joining the management teams, we will work together to exploring new dimensions. Apart from joining ASAP Natin’to, I will soon be part of the upcoming projects of ABS-CBN and ABS-CBN Films,” Jayda said.
“I see this as a new phase of my career. For the longest time, people knew me as a singer and songwriter. Acting is a new territory that I would like to explore. Siguro for starters, I'd like to do romcoms. It would be a dream for me,” she said noting that she idolizes Liza Soberano, Enrique Gil, and Aga Muhlach, and she would be delighted to share the screen with them.
As one of the country’s new breed of OPM singer-songwriters, Jayda is set to stage her first-ever major concert on June 26 (Saturday) with a re-run on June 27 (Sunday) via KTX.ph, iWanTTFC, and TFC IPTV.
“People will see a different side of Jayda in this concert, as an all-around artist, and as a person as well. I’d like to think that I've grown a lot since then and I think people will get to see that full-circle moment in my concert,” the young artist affirmed.
As for her birthday wish, “I know it’s a wish of many, sana mayos na ang mundo, in a way, for us to get to have that sense of normalcy so we can get to pursue our passion and the things that we love.”
Jayda releases new single ‘M.U.’
“M.U.” is a colloquial acronym that stands for ‘MalabongUsapan,’ and is the focal point of the song which addresses the importance of asserting security in a romantic relationship.
Jayda makes a bold statement against lack of label in relationships in her latest single “M.U.,” released under Star Music.
“M.U.” is a colloquial acronym that stands for ‘MalabongUsapan,’ and is the focal point of the song which addresses the importance of asserting security in a romantic relationship. “’M.U.’ is about knowing what you want, what you deserve, knowing your worth, and what you don’t want in a relationship. It’s all about wanting clarity,” Jayda stressed.
The pop-infused track is a new writing collaboration between the Kapamilya singer-songwriter and her father Dingdong Avanzado, whom she also worked with for her “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?” single released last February. She also co-produced “M.U.” with ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo.
Meanwhile, the music video for the self-empowering track featuring Francine Diaz was released last May 17, which Jayda co-directed with Edrex Clyde Sanchez. The multifaceted artist previously made her directorial debut for the music video of “Paano Kung Naging Tayo?” which featured former Pinoy Big Brother: Otso housemate Rhys Miguel.
Tickets to Jayda in Concert are available on KTX.ph, iWanTTFC, and TFC IPTV for only P499.
