In line with efforts to help both frontliners and patients in the fight against the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), EEI Corporation makes available 64 modules to hospitals across Luzon.
Fresh from the construction of the quarantine facilities within the Philippine International Convention Center as well as the Rizal Memorial Coliseum, EEI Corp. continues to aid the country in the fight against the pandemic by sharing its expertise and building safe health facilities.
The Yuchengco-led firm said that for the eight hospitals they identified to be in most need of the modules, eight units will be provided for each health facility.
“These brand new modules, which are originally intended as office and living quarters in construction sites, can be utilized to provide aid and convenience to both patients and frontliners in this trying time,” EEI Corporation President and CEO Roberto Jose Castillo said.
Each portable module is equipped with air conditioning units which were solicited from members of the Philippine Society of Ventilation and Refrigeration Engineers (PSVARE) and donated by the Philippine Constructors Association (PCA) and its members.
A total of 200 sets of beds, mattress, pillows and blankets were also provided.
The modules have been deployed to the following hospitals: San Juan City Medical Center; Mandaluyong City Medical Center; Lung Center of the Philippines; Philippine General Hospital; Quezon Institute; Antipolo City Hospital System; The Medical City South Luzon; and the Mariano Marcos Memorial Hospital and Medical Center (Ilocos Norte).
“EEI hopes for the fast recovery of the people afflicted with the COVID-19 virus and wishes for the safety and good health of the rest,” Castillo added.
