The PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF), in partnership with PLDT Enterprise, is driving economic empowerment with its new “PSF Smart Cart” program.
The initiative provides customized vending pedicabs, equipped with Smart Retailer Kits and Maya Digital Services, to aspiring micro-entrepreneurs across the Philippines.
“Our goal is to equip individuals with the resources and skills needed to thrive in today’s digital economy,” said PLDT Enterprise vice president Jay Lagdameo.
The program’s innovative “Equip, Train, and Connect” approach offers a holistic support system. Beneficiaries receive tailored bike carts, essential supplies, and initial capital, alongside training on business management and digital tools.
PSF president Esther O. Santos emphasized PSF’s commitment to providing livelihood opportunities and fostering a brighter future for Filipinos.
“We strive to provide livelihood opportunities especially to those with less access, like our fisherfolk and farmers in the agricultural sector, as well as aspiring micro-entrepreneurs. Our latest initiative, the PSF Smart Carts, offers diverse business opportunities tailored to the beneficiaries’ interests,” she said.
