Former Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo has officially landed in Manila early morning Friday following her high-profile arrest in Tangerang City, Indonesia on Wednesday.
The private plane which carried Guo along with law enforcement officers led by Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos, Jr. and Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Rommel Francisco Marbil arrived around 1:00 AM at a private hangar in Pasay City.
The ousted mayor is facing charges of human trafficking, misrepresentation, graft and corruption, among other serious offenses.
Guo along with her siblings have standing warrants of arrest from the Senate of the Philippines after they were cited in contempt for refusing to cooperate with its ongoing investigation.
PNP spokesperson Col. Jean Fajardo earlier said Guo will undergo booking process before she is turned over to the Senate.
