The National Capital Region Police Office announced on Saturday the arrest of two big-time drug dealers operating in the cities of Manila and Navotas.
One of the suspects, Anday Suna, 51, was caught in possession of 700 grams of shabu worth more than P4.7 million during a buy-bust operation along Rizal Avenue in Barangay 304 Zone 29 in Sta. Cruz, Manila, on Friday.
The entrapment operation conducted by members of the Manila Police District-Meisic Police Station stemmed from intelligence gathering and coordination, which resulted in the suspect’s arrest.
Another buy-bust operation was made by the NCRPO Drug Enforcement Unit in coordination with the Northern Police District and Navotas Police Station, led to the arrest of Jay Reyes, alias Kosa, and the recovery of over P1 million worth of shabu.
The operation took place at around 4:45 p.m. along C-3 Road in front of Unioil Gas Station in Barangay North Bay Boulevard South (NBBS) in Navotas City. The suspect was caught in the act of selling prohibited substances to one of the police operatives, who disguised as a buyer.
Seized from Reyes was a piece of brown paper bag containing 150 grams of shabu worth P1,020,000. Suna and Reyes are now detained, while the recovered pieces of evidence were brought to the police operating unit’s office for proper documentation and disposition.
