Metro Comet to modernize public transport

Metro Comet Transport Service Cooperative has acquired 15 brand-new Isuzu Modern PUV Class 2 units as part of its strategy to modernize public transportation.

The turnover of the new PUV bodies manufactured by Centro Manufacturing Corporation was held at Ayala Mall Solenad in Nuvali, Sta. Rosa.

“This turnover of 15 Isuzu Modern PUV units is a pivotal moment for Metro Comet. It underscores our commitment to providing modern, safe, and reliable public transportation for our community. We are dedicated to improving the commuting experience and supporting sustainable transport initiatives,” Ed Comia, chairman of Metro Comet said.

Divine Quemi, chief executive of Nueva Segovia Consortium of Cooperatives, highlighted the importance of collaboration in achieving transportation modernization.

“The partnership between Metro Comet, Isuzu, and Centro Manufacturing Corporation exemplifies the power of cooperative efforts in driving progress and innovation in the public transportation sector,” Quemi said.

LTFRB Region 4A Director Radm. Loumer P. Bernabe commended the initiative, noting, “Modernizing our public utility vehicles is a key component of our transportation strategy. Metro Comet’s proactive steps towards this goal are commendable, and we anticipate the positive impact these new units will have on our transportation system.”

The newly delivered Isuzu Modern PUV Class 2 units are designed to offer enhanced comfort, safety, and efficiency, ensuring a superior commuting experience for passengers.
