Aragones’ Akay Ni Sol turns into political party

SAN PABLO CITY— The philanthropic organization Akay Ni Sol headed by former broadcaster Sol Aragones has transformed into a full-fledged political party bearing the same name and based in this city.

Aragones expressed elation over the development and vowed to pursue the party’s commitments to serve the “most vulnerable sectors of society, including PWDs, senior citizens, and the less fortunate.

During a swearing-in ceremony held here, potential candidates from various parts of the country officially joined the Akay ni Sol National Political Party. The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has granted approval to Akay Ni Sol as a national political party, also recognized as “Ang Katipunan ng Pag-angat at Pag-yabong ng Bayan ay Anak ng Laguna.”

Baguio Mayor Benjamin Magalong who was present during the oath-taking commended Gov. Aragones for her “significant contributions to San Pablo City, particularly in aiding stroke victims and PWDs,” and offered his support to her cause.
