The Public-Private Partnership Center said Wednesday the Ninoy Aquino International Airport PPP project is now up for public bidding.
The Department of Transportation and the Manila International Airport Authority, the implementing agencies for the project, are inviting interested firms to qualify and bid for the contract to rehabilitate, operate, optimize and maintain the NAIA through a Rehabilitate-Operate-Expand-Transfer arrangement.
This is in accordance with Republic Act No. 6957, as amended by Republic Act No. 7718, otherwise known as the Build-Operate-and-Transfer Law and its Revised 2022 Implementing Rules and Regulations.
The NAIA PPP project, with a total cost of P170.6 billion, will cover all facilities of the airport, including its runways, four terminals and associated facilities. The NEDA board-approved project is expected to improve the overall passenger experience and service quality at the NAIA.
The bidding is open to all interested foreign and local parties, subject to the conditions for qualification under the law.
The instructions to bidders are publicly available on the DOTr, MIAA and PPP Center websites.
