During the trial of the cult members, Kasabian became a witness for the prosecution and received an immunity deal. Manson and four of his followers were jailed after the trial, and Manson died in detention in 2017.

Kasabian died in hospital in January in Tacoma, Washington at the age of 73, according to the media site TMZ, citing her death certificate.

According to the death certificate, Kasabian had changed her name to “Chiochios” to protect her identity after testifying against the murderous cult.
