The National Housing Authority (NHA) on Friday approved the release of certificates of eligibility for unit allocation to 20 family-beneficiaries of the San Martin de Porres’ socialized housing project in Sitio de Asis, Osorio Compound, Parañaque City.
NHA general manager Joeben Tai said the recipients of the housing units were informal settler-families affected by the infrastructure projects of the Parañaque City government.
Luis Bacamante, NHA NCR South Sector regional manager represented Tai in the awarding ceremony with Mayor Eric Olivarez and Rep. Edwin Olivarez.
The housing project is a 1,028-square-meter property owned by the city government intended for the informal settlers living in the danger areas and those affected by government infrastructure projects.
The Parañaque City government signed a memorandum of agreement with the NHA to develop the resettlement site consisting of a five-story low-rise building with 60 housing units.
Each unit measures 24 square meters.
“Our effort to provide housing assistance for Filipino families is slowly bearing fruit. This event proves our commitment to bringing comfort to our countrymen through the distribution of housing units,” Tai’s message read.
“The NHA under our Build Better and More housing program, will continue to communicate with our local governments, other government agencies and the private sector so that we can have support in our target of building better and more lots of housing for our fellow Filipinos,” he said.
