The City Government of Caloocan led by Mayor Dale Gonzalo “Along” Malapitan, thru the Caloocan City Medical Center (CCMC), conducted a week-long medical mission offering free consultation, medicine and vitamins from January 23 to 27, aligned with the celebration of the city’s 61st Founding Anniversary.
A total of 970 individuals benefitted from the said program which includes services like free consultation, tooth extraction, pap smear, ultrasound, blood-typing, chest x-ray, minor surgery and several laboratory screenings.
According to CCMC Director Dr. Ferdinand Santos, most of the residents availed of the free blood-typing for it’s a highly beneficial knowledge at times of emergency situations.
In line with this, he also emphasized that aside from laboratory screenings and consultations, the said medical mission also launched its “Operation Alis-Bukol” program which offers free minor surgery.
Mayor Along expressed his appreciation and lauded the city’s health workers for kickstarting the city’s celebration and campaign on working together towards a new era.
