NCRPO seizes P1.73 million shabu in QC buy-bust

The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Wednesday announced the seizure of 25.5 kilos of shabu worth more than P170 million in an entrapment operation in Quezon City.

The raid also resulted in the arrest of suspected drug dealer Rodgene Umali, 36.

Anti-narcotics teams from the Quezon City Police District – PNP Special Operations Unit – National Capital Region, Special Operations Unit 7, and Regional Intelligence Unit- NCR conducted the buy-bust operation along Roosevelt Avenue in Barangay San Antonio around 6:30 a.m.

Seized from Umali were shabu with a market value of P173.4 million and nine bundles of boodle money used by the authorities in the entrapment.

Drug charges were being prepared against the suspect.

NCRPO director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo presented the seized illegal drugs to members of the media.
