Olongapo City—The Junior Chamber International (JCI) Olongapo has signed a sisterhood pact with JCI Tikapur, a local chapter in Nepal.
“With the agreement, the two local chapters commit to building strong ties and international collaboration by fostering understanding beyond national, cultural and linguistic barriers,” said JCI Olongapo president Jason Gavina.
The twinning ceremony was held during the recent JCI Asia Pacific Conference in Jeju, South Korea. Butch Gunio
JCI Tikapur was represented by JCI Nepal executive vice president Rabin Pokhrel and JCI Olongapo by Gavina. JCI world executive vice president Amzad Hussain witnessed the ceremony.
“The two chapters share the common advocacy of promoting international understanding”, Gavina also said.
JCI Olongapo was established in 1959 and has been a training ground of young active citizens and leaders in the community.
