Family talents featured in NV Quezon fiesta

Quezon, Nueva Vizcaya—Talents of families from various barangays in this town were featured in a show as part of the recent 3rd Tangguyob Festival celebration of this town.

Mayor Dolores Binwag said the show, dubbed “Search for Talentadong Pamilya,” seeks to promote unity, care and cooperation of Quezon town’s families.

“It has been said that the development of a community starts from the unity of families. This is one of the avenues to strengthen their cooperation , unity and love as the foundation of development of our municipality,” Binwag said.

The activity was sponsored by the local government of Quezon and the FCF Minerals Corp., which operates the gold-molybdenum project in the municipality.

Binwag said the search also seeks to promote their talents, using various media platforms to generate recognition and appreciation among netizens.

The activity was attended by families from 10 out of 12 barangays of Quezon where songs, short drama, modern and cultural dances were performed by the participants.

The winners were given certificates and cash prizes of P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000 for the first, second and third placers respectively, while the other contestants received P3,000 each as consolation prizes. The LGU-FCF Minerals sponsored Search for ‘Talentadong Pamilya’ is now on its second year.
