YouTube has announced the return of YouTube FanFest, a festival connecting YouTube stars with fans #IRL, on May 11 at the World Trade Center.
Now in its fourth year in town, YouTube FanFest is an exclusive live show showcasing the biggest YouTube stars from the Philippines and around the world.
This year’s stellar lineup features a mix of talented international creators: Matt Steffanina, Sungha Jung, Merrell Twins, The Dominic Show and local sensations Janina Vela, Mikey Bustos, Ranz Kyle and Niana Guerrero, Wil Dasovich, Alodia Gosiengfiao, Michelle Dy, Pamela Swing, AC Bonifacio and Renee Dominique. These YouTube stars are set to take the stage at World Trade Center, Pasay City, for a night filled with music, dance, and lots of fun.
As part of this year’s FanFest, fans will also get to explore the YouTube FanFest Festival where they can get up close and personal with their internet heros, and also experience the daily life of a YouTube star from shooting to uploading YouTube videos in themed booths and studios.
The Filipino YouTube community is on a historical rise. Today, the Philippines has over 230 channels that reached 100K subscribers, and more than 15 channels with 1M+ subscribers. That is a meteoric jump from just 70 channels with 100K subscribers and 8 channels with 1M+ subscribers that YouTube announced last year.
“We’re delighted to host YouTube FanFest again in the Philippines for the fourth time to celebrate this new generation of YouTube stars. Started in 2015, The YouTube community here has turned a simple tweet it into a movement. We love coming here because of Filipino fans’ energy and enthusiasm, and to see international creators and homegrown Filipino talents shine on stage.” said Chris Schremp, YouTube’s Director of Global Online Partnerships.
Tickets are available via TicketWorld Manila. YouTube creators will also be giving away their own tickets to the show and meet & greet sessions via their social media channels. For more details, visit www.youtubefanfest.com/ph.
