The Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the country’s premier gateway, will soon be equipped with top of the line Closed Circuit Television cameras, Airport general manager Eddie Monreal said Tuesday.
Monreal said the Manila International Airport Authority, in coordination with the Department of Budget Management, has started the bidding process for the procurement of P486 million worth of CCTV cameras to be installed at the NAIA complex.
The MIAA came up with the decision allowing the DBM to handle the bidding process to avoid any irregularity.
“The project is very expensive because it would cover the whole airport complex including the perimeters of terminals,” Monreal said.
