President Rodrigo Duterte says, he uses the law as basis in forming his opinion on the burial of Former President Ferdinand Marcos.
During the question-and-answer portion of his speech before he left for Thailand, the President said, “as a lawyer, I stick by what the law says. It says, soldiers and ex-presidents, doon ka ililibing.”

He noted, “the tussle on the dictatorship of Marcos is something that cannot be determined at this time.”
The President’s reaction is in relation to the Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday that allowed the burial of Marcos at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
