THE Sandiganbayan Seventh Division has scheduled for September 6 the arraignment of Muntinlupa City Rep. Ruffy Biazon regarding the three criminal cases filed against him in connection with the alleged irregular use of pork barrel funds or Priority Development Assistance Fund.
The schedule was made after the anti-graft division denied his motion for reconsideration to dismiss his malversation of public funds, graft and direct bribery cases.
The ruling affirmed the division’s earlier resolution last June 23 finding probable cause on the charges.
“Wherefore, in view of the foregoing, accused Rozzano Rufino Biazon’s motion for reconsideration dated July 11, 2016 is denied,” the court said.
Biazon had earlier posted P90,000 bail for his temporary liberty.
He was accused of downloading his pork barrel in 2007 to Philippine Social Development Foundation, Inc. (PSDFI), one of the supposed bogus foundations of alleged pork barrel scam mastermind and detained businesswoman Janet Lim-Napoles.
