THE Metro Manila Development Authority has impounded more than 80 vehicles in its continuing operations against illegally-parked vehicles and other road obstructions in the metropolis.
The latest operation was conducted along Jose P. Rizal Street, Chino Roces Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue from Epifanio de los Santos Avenue to Circumferential Road 5 (C-5 Road), Rockwell and Lawton Street, all in Makati City.
Roldan Aban, head of the MMDA Anti-Illegal Parking Operations Group, said a total of 84 illegally-parked vehicles were towed and brought to the University of Life (Ultra) impounding area in Pasig City after the day-long operations.
“The drive against illegally parked vehicles is part of the government’s effort to decongest Metro Manila thoroughfares,” said Aban.
