Officials for 2 WBO title bouts named

DANREX Tapdasan has been appointed  by the World Boxing Organization to referee the WBO title fight between unbeaten Intercontinental  junior featherweight/super bantamweight champion  Prince Albert Pagara and Nicaragua’s bantamweight champion Yesner Talavera, while veteran international referee Bruce McTavish has been named to officiate the clash for the vacant WBO Youth featherweight championship between another unbeaten Filipino Mark “Magnifico” Magsayo and Mexico’s Eduardo Montoya.

Jose Izquierdo II, the newly appointed Executive Committee secretary informed The Standard/boxingmirror.com that aside from Tapdasan, the judges for the Pagara-Talavera fight would be Salven Lagumbay, Edward Ligas and Greg Ortega.

WBO president Francisco “Paco” Valcarcel announced the appointment of McTavish as referee for the Magsayo-Montoya battle, with judges Edgar Olalo, Samson Libreas and Tony Pesons.

The supervisor for both title fights will be WBO Asia Pacific head Leon Panoncillo.
