THE Perpetual Junior Altas continued their winning streak, claiming the Under Armour Curry 12 Invitational Championship by outclassing the Mapua-Malayan School Red Robins, 86-59, on Sunday at the Gameville Ball Park Court 2 in Mandaluyong City.
Lebron Jhames Daep, named tournament MVP, led the Junior Altas with a double-double performance of 14 points and 12 rebounds.
Jericho Cristino also shone, contributing 15 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, and 5 steals. Felix Corpuz added 11 points, while Yuri Duque and Drei Gragasin chipped in 10 and 11 points, respectively.
The coach Joph Cleopas-led Junior Altas established their dominance early, outscoring the Red Robins in various statistical categories, including points off turnovers, points in the paint, fastbreak points, and bench points.
The victory marked the second consecutive championship for the Junior Altas, following their NGBL triumph over the National University Nazareth Bullpups.
Each player on the winning team received a Curry 12 gift certificate as a reward for their outstanding performances.
In the battle for third place, the San Sebastian College-Recoletos Golden Staglets defeated the Far Eastern University Diliman Juniors, 79-73.
