Brace for kilig weekday mornings as GMA Heart of Asia brings to light back-to-back Koreanovelas with the premiere of Something About 1% and Don’t Dare to Dream.
The romantic-comedy tale of Something About 1%, features Jeon So Min as Darlene, a simple girl who is content with her simple life as a teacher at a small school and as the fan club president of a K-pop idol; and Ha Seok Jin as Irvin, a ruthless businessman with only making money as his goal.
Darlene’s life changed when she helped a random old man, without knowing he was rich. After seeing Darlene’s sincerity, he thinks she is the perfect pair for his arrogant grandson, Irvin, and orders the two to date. Darlene and Irvin agree in exchange for their own motives. In the one percent probability they have, will they get to know each other skin deep and find true love?
On the other hand, Don’t Dare to Dream follows the story of Nikki, played by Gong Hyo Jin, a weather broadcaster who dreams of falling in love, and being an anchor.
She has a long-time crush on Harvey Lee (Jo Jung Suk), the famous news reporter in the broadcast station she’s working at. One time, Nikki accidentally touched the bump on Harvey’s chest. Nikki says he should get it checked in case he has breast cancer. When he finds out he has breast cancer, he started taking Nikki seriously but it may be too late for him as his best friend, Johnny (Go Gyung Pyo), is already making moves on Nikki. Can Nikki get what she wants in her career and in her personal life?
Something About 1% and Don’t Dare to Dream premiered yesterday, Dec. 3, and airs from Monday to Friday, after The Legend of Zu on GMA-7.
