K-pop rapper and singer J-Hope of global group BTS completed his 18-month South Korean military service on Thursday, Oct. 17.
As announced by his label on Weverse, no official ceremony was held, but his fellow member Jin, who was discharged from the military in June, welcomed him with a bouquet.

In videos released by Korean media, J-Hope was seen taking a deep breath before stepping out while Jin waited for him.
On his Instagram story, the Korean rapper shared some photos of his military discharge in a collage.
“Thank you,” he wrote.
According to reports, J-Hope is expected to speak to the local media “at his own request.”
