PetPal, a digital pet care platform by 917Ventures, has introduced the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Portal, aiming to modernize veterinary services in the country.
The portal connects pet owners’ information submitted via the PetPal app to veterinarians’ patient records, enabling quick access to detailed profiles for more accurate diagnoses and treatments.
“This system is a game-changer for Filipino veterinarians,” PetPal General Manager Martin Luchangco said. “By digitizing administrative processes, we’re helping vets focus on what matters most—caring for animals.”
The EMR Portal streamlines tasks such as scheduling, consultations, and prescription management, improving clinic efficiency. It also synchronizes records in real-time, providing both vets and pet owners with a seamless way to track medical histories.
In the Philippines, where 79 percent of households have pets, the veterinary sector struggles with a ratio of 2,000 pets to one veterinarian. With fewer than 500 clinics and around 10,000 active vets nationwide, the gap in veterinary services remains significant.
PetPal’s initiative seeks to address this challenge by equipping clinics with tools to manage patients more efficiently. For a limited time, Filipino veterinarians can access the EMR services free of charge.
For a limited time, vets are offered free access to PetPal’s EMR services. Those interested in exploring the benefits of the EMR Portal may visit https://org-portal.petpal.asia/login for more details.
