Monica hadn't spoken to her grandmother in years, so it came as a great surprise when she discovered her name in the will. As Monica listened to it all, she became immediately angry. Why had she been summoned here? Everything was being fairly divided, and she was getting nothing. Not even a portion of the house was given in her name. Had her grandmother deliberately done this?
When Monica's name was finally read, the notary raised his right eyebrow. The whole family held their breath, waiting to hear what Monica would receive. Jaws dropped as the truth was finally revealed.

The notary announced that Monica had inherited an old farmhouse located in the forest near the town. Monica looked around the room and saw confused faces. Apparently, no one knew that her grandmother owned another property. And why did she leave it to Monica?

But when Monica explained that she was the owner of what seemed like an abandoned house, they became interested. The police came to resolve the situation peacefully and spoke with Monica as well as with the homeless people who had made the abandoned house their refuge.

After the police informed the homeless individuals that they couldn't stay there and showed empathy, they departed. Monica's mother offered her to stay with them that evening. Monica was so exhausted that she agreed to the suggestion, even if it didn't sit well with her.
