Shear line will continue affecting the eastern section of Central Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) sways across Northern Luzon, the state weather bureau said on Tuesday.
Heavy to intense rainfall will prevail over Isabela while moderate to heavy rains are expected in Cagayan and Aurora due to the effects of shear line.
Also known as the convergence of cold and warm winds, shear line is also forecast to bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Metro Manila, Quirino, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, and Kalayaan Islands.
“Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas. Moreover, impacts in some areas may be worsened by significant antecedent rainfall,” said PAGASA.
According to the Visayas PAGASA Regional Services Division (PRSD), the whole Visayas, rest of Palawan, and Occidental Mindoro will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, DOST-PAGASA Weather Specialist Patrick Del Mundo reported that as of 2 A.M. today, no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
