Police have arrested five high-value targets and seized over P1 million worth of illegal drugs in two separate anti-narcotics operations in Makati City and Quezon City on Tuesday.
A composite team from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), Quezon City Police District (QCPD), and its Police Substation in Talipapa arrested John Rey Aceron, 34, and Venancio Campania Obcianal, 31, during a buy-bust operation along Quirino Highway in Barangay Balonbato, Quezon City.
Seized from the suspects were 100 grams of shabu worth P680,000 and the money used in the entrapment.
The suspects, who are now detained at the QCPD detention center, will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, while the seized drugs were turned over to the district’s Crime Laboratory Office for chemical analysis.
