Filipinos urged to prioritize health as the holiday season nears

With the holiday season approaching, health experts and organizations are encouraging Filipinos to consider wellness-focused gifts for their loved ones, emphasizing the importance of family health and well-being.

The Philippines continues to face significant health challenges, including undernutrition, but progress is on the horizon. The World Health Organization projects that between 2018 and 2025, up to 13.7 million Filipinos could experience improved health and well-being. Advocates say the holiday season is an opportune time to promote healthier lifestyles and inspire long-term wellness.

“By prioritizing health, families can enhance their quality of life,” said a representative from LAC Philippines, a health and wellness supplement retailer. “Wellness-focused choices lead to more vibrant, meaningful time spent together.”

In line with National Children’s Month this November, LAC Philippines highlighted products designed to support children’s health, including LAC Calcium Fit™ Junior with Vitamin D and LAC Vitamin C Junior Gummy. These supplements aim to boost bone health, immunity, and overall growth in children.

For adults, the retailer pointed to products such as LAC Taut® White and LAC Taut® Rejuvenate+ Premium Collagen, which target skin health and anti-aging through antioxidant-rich and collagen-boosting formulas.

While gift-giving remains a holiday tradition, advocates are urging families to focus on thoughtful, health-oriented presents that can contribute to long-term well-being. By doing so, they say, families can not only enjoy the season but also invest in a healthier, happier future.

Health experts also stress that wellness is a collective effort. Beyond material gifts, shared activities like cooking nutritious meals or engaging in physical exercise can strengthen family bonds and encourage healthier habits.

“Investing in health means investing in more time together,” the LAC Philippines representative said. “It’s a gift that lasts far beyond the holidays.”
