A strong earthquake measured at magnitude-4.4 shook Balut Island in Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 10:34 PM on Tuesday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).
Based on its latest information bulletin, Phivolcs traced the epicenter of the quake at 3.50 degrees north 126.15 degrees east – 227 km south 21 degrees east of the island at a depth of 144 kms.

There were no reported intensities listed on Phivolcs’ earthquake bulletin.
Phivolcs said no aftershocks are expected from this seismic activity and damage is unlikely.
