The Philippine Air Force (PAF) broke ground on its Housing Relocation and Replication Project in Pampanga.
According to PAF Spokesperson Col. Maria Consuelo Castillo, this project is the result of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Department of National Defense-Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA).
The agreement aims to relocate and replicate existing PAF facilities from the 313 hectares in Clark Freeport Zone to a future site in New Clark City.
A highlight of the ceremony was the laying of a time capsule at the project site, attended by key officials from DND/PAF and BCDA.
This groundbreaking ceremony marks the beginning of a transformative project that aims to modernize and improve the quality of work and life for PAF personnel.
Additionally, it is expected to contribute to the long-term development of the New Clark City area and its surrounding communities, according to Castillo.
