President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. emphasized the power of prayer during the 49th National Prayer Breakfast held at Malacañan Palace on Monday.
He stated that collective faith is essential for Filipinos to endure the challenges brought by recent disasters.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Thailand’s Ambassador to the Philippines, Tull Traisorat, and Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, Secretary Frederick Go.
“True leadership, the kind that transforms people’s lives for the better, is guided by wisdom and is rooted in faith and in God,” the President said.
He also reminded attendees that leadership requires accountability to higher standards.
“I thank God for the blessings that we have already received and I pray that He continues to bless me with wisdom, with compassion, and with the love of our country that will be forever undying,” he continued.
Various bishops offered prayers for the President during the gathering.
