The combined impact of Tropical Cyclones Nika, Ofel, and Pepito has resulted in an estimated P469.8 million in infrastructure damage across three regions, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
In a situational report released on Sunday, the NDRRMC detailed that Central Luzon experienced the most significant damage, totaling nearly P320.7 million.
Following this, the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) reported damages amounting to P144.7 million, while Cagayan Valley recorded P4.4 million.
Additionally, Central Luzon sustained P855,326 in agricultural losses, affecting 52 farmers and fisherfolk.
In total, the storms impacted 852,475 individuals, or 238,982 families, across 2,152 barangays. Of those affected, 75,581 people were sheltered in evacuation centers, while 36,077 sought refuge in other temporary accommodations.
As of the latest update, 65 roads and 40 bridges remain impassable due to storm damage. The storms also caused partial damage to 7,401 homes and completely destroyed 437.
Furthermore, 11 cities and municipalities have been declared under a state of calamity—eight in Cagayan Valley, two in CAR, and one in Central Luzon.
The NDRRMC reported that P45 million in assistance has already been provided to those impacted by the disasters.
