In a solemn ceremony marking the 74th Marine Birthday, AFP Chief General Romeo S. Brawner Jr. led a tribute to the fallen soldiers of the Philippine Marine Corps, held today at the Marine Heroes’ Monument in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
In his message, General Brawner praised the Marine Corps for its unwavering commitment to defending the country, highlighting its role in safeguarding national sovereignty and maintaining peace.
He also acknowledged the dedication and sacrifice of the soldiers, noting that their courage in the face of adversity continues to inspire future generations of servicemen and women.
“We gather today to honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedom and sovereignty,” said General Brawner. “Their courage and devotion to duty remain an enduring symbol of the Philippine Marine Corps’ commitment to our nation’s security and the protection of our people,” he added.
