The Philippine Air Force (PAF) and the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) conducted a joint aerial relief operation over the weekend, delivering critical aid to the storm-stricken Calaguas Island.
According to PAF Spokesperson Colonel Maria Consuelo Castillo, the forces mobilized their Black Hawk helicopters to efficiently transport Family Food Packs provided by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to residents of the island, who have been severely affected by recent severe weather conditions.
“This mission underscores the strong partnership between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam, demonstrating their commitment to regional security and humanitarian assistance,” Castillo stated.
The mission also involved collaboration with the Philippine Army’s ground troops, as well as personnel from DSWD-Region V and the Office of Civil Defense.
Through these collaborative efforts, the PAF and the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ensure that those in need receive necessary assistance promptly, according to Castillo.
