Tuguegarao City, Cagayan—Local authorities advised residents in low-lying areas to evacuate in safer locations after water level from the Cagayan River at Buntun Bridge rose to a warning level.
Water level monitored from the Buntun Bridge was measured at 10.2 meters by 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. It went to 10.5 meters by 9:00 p.m. and kept rising as of this posting.
Disaster risk managers cautioned that dangerous flash floods could happen, which could make things a lot worse for the storm-hit populace.
They issued notices of evacuation, urging families to prioritize their own safety. Evacuation centers are now available to house those in need of temporary shelter.
