The 4th Infantry Division joined the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police Region-10, and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) in finalizing preparations for the 2025 midterm national and local elections.
During the Regional Joint Peace and Security Coordinating Center (RJPSCC) Meeting hosted by the Philippine Coast Guard in Cagayan de Oro, members discussed joint operational guidelines and strategies designed to enhance security measures, streamline communication, and address any potential challenges that may arise during the election period.
The 4ID stated that the meeting aims to foster and strengthen partnerships among various government agencies to ensure a safe, orderly, and credible conduct of the midterm election in Northern Mindanao.
Maj. Gen. Cuerpo emphasized the significance of this collaboration in ensuring the integrity of the democratic process and affirmed that the Joint Task Force Diamond is dedicated to working diligently to deter any security threats, particularly from communist terrorist groups (CTGs) and other lawless elements, in order to provide a safe environment for voters to exercise their right to vote.
“This collaborative effort underscores the commitment of all involved agencies to safeguard the sanctity of the electoral process and ensure voters’ safety,” the Division stated.
