Taal Volcano in Batangas spewed steam from its crater at 7:21 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the 2800-meter-high eruption plume that drifted southwest was produced by a minor phreatic eruption.

The event was captured via thermal camera at the Daang Kastila Observation Station (VTDK) and by an IP camera at the Taal Volcano Observatory (TVO) in Brgy. Buco, Talisay, Batangas.
Since 12 a.m. on Thursday, Alert Level 1 is raised over Taal.
