Leading health, beauty, and lifestyle retailer Watsons Philippines has teamed up with the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) to champion health, beauty, and wellness throughout the country.
On Tuesday, Nov. 26, the collaboration brought together two brands—one a leader in retail and the other a trailblazer in women’s sports—to create a unique platform that celebrates the well-being of both athletes and fans alike.
During his opening remarks, Jefferson L. Go, Chief Operating Officer of Watsons Philippines, described the partnership as a “match made in heaven” between two entities dedicated to improving lives across the nation.
“[This is] a partnership that brings together two leaders in their respective fields, serving up the best for our community. PVL, the country’s top professional women’s volleyball league, continues to showcase the incredible athleticism, showmanship, and determination of its athletes,” Go said.

On the other hand, Sports Vision Management Group Inc. president Ricky Palou shared his excitement for what the collaboration will bring to PVL, particularly with the upcoming season, which will be historic as it is set to be the longest in PVL history, running for five consecutive months.
“This conference is special in the sense that it will be the longest conference in the history of the PVL. This will be five straight months, more or less, of action to determine which team will emerge as the nation’s best,” Palou explained.
“It will also push our athletes to keep themselves in tip-top shape, to be the very best versions of themselves through hard work, perseverance, and the guts to pull it all together for the right to be called PVL Champions,” he continued.
The volleyball competition also promises to showcase not only the athletes’ skill and determination but also the importance of maintaining peak physical condition, which aligns perfectly with Watsons’ core mission of promoting health and wellness.
