CAGAYAN province has acquired brand-new heavy duty machineries seen to significantly boost its agriculture and infrastructure development projects.
Gov. Manuel Mamba said the acquisitions, meant to hasten local government unit (LGU) services, consisted of the first batch of six units of backhoes for distribution to the LGUs.
Mamba said the provincial government ordered 29 units of such machinery worth P85.88 million.
Additionally, two hydraulic crawler-type excavators that the provincial government had ordered for P8.9 million and funded with P9 million from the Local Disaster Risk Reduction Management (LDRRM) budget are also expected to be delivered soon.
Meanwhile, the bidding process for service cars for Cagayan’s 820 barangays is still underway, Mamba disclosed.
