A COMPOSITE team of law enforcers on Tuesday, Sept. 3, arrested a militiaman in a Lanao del Sur town for alleged possession of one-half kilo of shabu worth P3.4 million.
The suspect, identified only as alias Orak, a member of the Citizens’ Armed Force Geographic Unit in Brgy. Kabasaran, Lumbayanague, Lanao del Sur, was nabbed in an entrapment laid down by the arresting team composed of operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Philippine National Police, along with Army soldiers.
The team also seized from the suspect one 45-caliber Colt pistol with four live bullets.
“Our police force remains committed to aiding law enforcement efforts in combating drug trafficking and preserving public safety and security in the areas of responsibility of BARMM,” said acting regional police chief Brig. Gen. Prexy Tanggawohn.
