7-Eleven franchise holder opens 4,000th PH store in Newport

Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC), the local franchise holder of convenience store 7-Eleven, celebrated a major milestone Tuesday with the opening of its 4,000th outlet in Newport District, Pasay City.

The event also marked 7-Eleven’s 40th year in the Philippines. PSC opened its first 7-Eleven store on Feb. 29, 1984 along EDSA corner Kamias Road in Quezon City. Today, PSC has 4,000 stores nationwide.

“Celebrating 40 years in the Philippines and opening our 4,000th store is a significant achievement for us. It underscores our commitment to delivering convenience and exceptional service. We’re excited to keep serving our communities and look forward to the future,” said PSC president and chief executive Jose Victor Paterno.

PSC co-founder and chairman of the board Jose Pardo also lauded the milestone.

“Reaching 4,000 stores is an incredible milestone that reflects the trust and loyalty we’ve earned from our customers over the years. It’s also a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our team,” Pardo said.

PSC launched a year-long campaign titled “Forty-gether kasama ang paborito mong kapitbahay” to celebrate the brand’s growth and its role as a neighborhood companion.

Alongside the Newport store opening, PSC also opened a new store in Angeles City, Pampanga which includes upgraded features and uses renewable energy through solar panels, reflecting PSC’s commitment to sustainability.
