Mayor Tobias Tiangco signed City Ordinance No. 2021-63 or the Navotas Pandemic Recovery Assistance Program.
Under the ordinance, non-delinquent taxpayers or those who are punctual in paying their dues will be given discounts when they settle their 2022 taxes.
Navotas will grant a five percent discount to all real property taxes, business taxes, and fees, except for the barangay business clearance and fire safety inspection fees which are directly paid in the barangays and the Bureau of Fire Protection.
All other local taxes, regulatory fees and service charges, including city parking fees, will be given the same consideration.
“We would like to thank and give back to the individual and business taxpayers who pay their dues promptly even during this difficult time.
For our city to continue giving adequate services, we need our people’s support, especially their faithful and timely payment of taxes,” Tiangco said.
The Navotas Pandemic Recovery Assistance Program also exempts marginalized Navoteños from paying business taxes, fees and other regulatory costs and service charges.
The tax immunity includes all registered businesses whose gross sales in 2021 did not exceed P120,000; tricycle and pedicab drivers and operators, except non-Navoteños with supervision permit; and registered fisherfolks who are in good standing and have no overdue accounts.
